I hope you’re all enjoying a fabulous summer in the sun. Like most of you, I am trying to soak up every single second with my family this summer. I will resume author visits in August.

Please contact me  to schedule a visit to your school, church, mothers’ group, library, or store: juliepcantrell@bellsouth.net

Thanks kindly for your continued support. I hope the books are bringing tons of smiles and snuggles to you and your kiddos this season.

Thanks Barnes & Noble, Germantown!

On Saturday, May 30, I was treated to a sweet and stress-free storytime signing at the Germantown Barnes & Noble in Memphis, Tennessee. The kids were fabulously well-behaved and they loved talking about animals of every shape and size. This was a great way to end the book launch and start a fun-filled summer with my family.

Thanks especially to Melinda, the superiorly talented storytime lady who welcomed me whole-heartedly into her terrain with unmatched kindness. Thanks also to the professional and personable staff members, as well as the community relations manager, Valerie Schranz. I greatly enjoyed my visit to your store.

Got a second to spare? Check out zondervan.com (http://www.zondervan.com/Cultures/en-US/Product/Kidz/Kidz.htm?QueryStringSite=Zondervan). I’m excited to see my books noted as one of the four featured books on the children’s section – right along with The Berenstain Bears!! — Wow!!

I was also THRILLED to receive a very special letter in the mail last week. I am really just coming to terms with the fact that it really happened. Imagine my surprise when I opened the mailbox to find a card from the best-selling Christian fiction author, Karen Kingsbury! She wrote a handwritten message to me that I’ll share with you because I’m just TOOOOO excited about it:

“Dear Julie, Your books are adorable! Best wishes in His light….Love, Karen Kingsbury.”

I have to admit, I never thought I’d receive such a gift from such a successful, inspirational author. Ms. Kingsbury, if you ever come across my little bog — THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU (yes, I”m yelling, but it’s a happy yell)!

And to each of you who are taking time to follow my blog, I sincerely mean it when I say — Your kind notes mean just as much to me as the one I received from Ms. Kingsbury. I am overwhelmed each day by the kindness that circles around me. Blessings to you all!
